Moving to Morayshire - anyone there?

Hi folks,

We're moving to Morayshire next week, to Kellas which is a few minutes south of Elgin and Forres. I'm looking forward to getting out and about, the riding country looks great. Does anyone know the area or indeed live anywhere nearby? All local knowledge gratefully received!

You wont be too far away from Mundole riding centre, they hold lots of various different events both affiliated and unaffiliated to my knowledge. Everyones favourite photographer lives not too far away from you. Sian who is Animal Snapper Photography lives in Cornhill with her welsh cobs and her mad but so lovable and funny great dane Bertie. There are a Few agicultural shows that happen around you as you probably know and there's a super beach at Lossiemouth you can ride on

We're a bit further south from you - west of Aberdeen - though my lorry came from Elgin (what a useful piece of information). Hope you enjoy relocating to the east coast - you'll find it a bit drier over here but possibly colder in the winter . Are you going to the Group Show? Bad timing there - you should have done it on the way to your move!

I was brought up in Morayshire and just love it up there.
The weather in Morayshire is second to none in Scotland - I'm sure you'll love living there.

Lindsay, whereabouts are you? It would be nice to meet up Arabist, we do cold better than wet, hence one of the main reasons for the move! Group show is off the agenda yet again, because of the timing of the move. Maybe next year!

Rosebud, I know nothing! Which agricultural shows are local? Probably won't get to anything this summer - will just about be settled in when I get my shoulder operated on, there's never a good time is there? Glad to hear about the photographer, I'll be working on the website later this year I'm certainly looking forward to some beach rides! Are there many pleasure rides in the area? I've emailed SERC to try to join but haven't heard back yet.
