Hi All
I noticed this post on Arabianlines
Copied from Showing World Announcement Dated 8 June.
You may have heard that Grandstand Media Ltd, organisers of Horse of the Year Show, would like to review the way competitors qualify for the Show. Grandstand recognises that there is a passionate interest in any potential changes that are made to the qualification process and want to ensure that the equestrian community are part of the process enabling opinions to be voiced.
The main discussion topics will surround the HOYS qualification process: suggestions will be put forward by Grandstand and participants of the focus group will be able to discuss what changes are needed and how the current qualification system can be improved.
Grandstand has organised three focus group sessions, these will be held at Stoneleigh Park Conference Centre on Monday 28th June 2010. Each session will last approximately two hours. For the opportunity to attend the focus group and join the discussion please email your name, contact details, current involvement with HOYS and order of preference of the sessions you would like to attend (11am - 1pm, 2pm - 4pm or 5pm - 7pm) to showsecretary@hoys.co.uk, by Wednesday 16th June 2010. Places will be limited and selections will be made randomly from those that express an interest in attending. All selected applicants will be notified by email on Monday 21st June.
If you are unable to attend but would still like to voice your opinion please email details to showsecretary@hoys.co.uk
So just to keep you all in the loop, I have now sent two emails to the HOYS secretary on behalf of the group requesting that we can be considered for a HOYS qualifier. Hopefully this focus group could assist. If they do not consider us, I have asked that they give a report as to why. I have also stated that if a qualifier is not available for 2011 we be given a chance in 2012
We shall see
fingers crossed
