I got mine when we moved my pony closer to home and there was a woman on the yard with 3 purebreds I have always loved them from then Why do i love arabs because they are so beautiful and because if i didnt own Nadem, and if it had been any other horse i was riding the dayy we fell, i might not be here. If it wasnt for Nadem - on the way down, he put in a buck and flicked me in the opposite direction away from him. I owe my minimal injuries and perhaps my life to this horse. He's always there for me, he listens, never judges. AND HES A WEE SOD SOMETIMES thats my reasons

I learned to ride on a palomino part bred called Midas. He was great fun. Before that I read the "Jinny at Finmory" books about a girl and her Arab mare.
I didn't actually own one until I was 28 when I bought Zak. He was my first horse and I still have him. I also now own his half brother Zhaazeer who is 18 months old.

It's all Lynn Tait's fault! Ha ha. We moved Paddy our pony to Lynn's livery yard. Think Lynn must have saw me and sis fighting over Paddy and offered me a wee shot of Purds until she sold her. Well once I saw her I was head over heels in love and all my parents heard about was Purdy! Lynn very kindly loaned her till we could afford to buy her. (Remember the tears Lynn till I knew I could have her!!!) Best present I could ever have gotten, I love her to bits! Was completely bitten by the bug then bred Poppy. Well the rest is history I guess! ;D

I got Kaz through my friend Denise. My horse had died and I didn't think I wanted another one. She convinced me to take Kaz on loan from her friend and 4 months later I bought her. She is the sweetest girl and always tries her best
Has anyone else noticed that people who have never owned or known an Arab have a preconceived opinion that they are all nutters

I have let a few of my liveries ride my "mad arab" They usually say something like "He won't run away/buck me off/rear with me, will he?" Quite a few of them couldn't get him into canter and one couldn't even get into trot None of them wanted to give him back though

i had a part bred arab mare called Brandy when i was a teenager, she was the most beautiful pony - chestnut, white sox, flaxen mane and tail, big white star. she lived in my back garden and came into the house for a drink of water!! i gave up horses when i started nurse training, but as soon as kaye could walk she was taken to see every horse available, when she got her 2nd horse Kaspian a few years back - i remember thinking as we got out of the car to meet him WOW! he neighed when he seen us, and i thought he was one of the most magnificent horses i had ever seen.
Arab horses are amongst the most loyal, trusting, graceful and above all wonderful friends to us humans. I feel blessed to be involved in caring for Nadem. He is a star.
