It is with great sadness i write to let you know that Monescocia was put to sleep yesterday morning - After an injury last year he began to deteriorate and after our best efforts to help the situation it was not to be an we were faced with the awful decision to let him go. He lived a short life but he will always be here at his home where he was very much loved by our family, i remember when we got him home and he was a little scruffy colt but we knew we had something very special, he matured in to a stunning young prince and from his first show we took out him the back of the horsebox he shone like a diamond in the sun. We have two beautiful mares - Kiss and Miamara who are caring the most precious cargo in the tummies, Monty's first babies will arrive here next year we just wish he could be here to see them. We are devastated and very numb, i have an empty stable and ask WHY.....Why my special boy, we had so many plans and dreams and there are now all shattered - Never did i believe i would be writing this and feeling if it is worth carrying on! He was for us the future of Carradale........My heart is broken. R.I.P My Darling Monescocia xxxxxxx

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to reply on here Arabian Lines and Facebook, e-mailed or text - The response we have received is overwhelming, he touched many hearts and has left a huge whole here at Carradale. The hardest part is his empty stable, even Nikki has been looking for him and waiting for his return. Please treasure your horses and loved ones each and everyday.
Thank you all once again

I am so sorry to hear about Monty. He was an absolutely stunning horse. I was taken by him the first time I saw him. My thoughts are with you at this time.
I agree, everyone should treasure their horses, they are so special and provided so much joy and love.

Leigh-Ann what an utterly tragic turn of events for you. You must be feeling completely devastated. To lose him so young just seems so wrong but at least you will have the consolation of seeing his foals grow and flourish. My heart goes out to you, to Eon and the family for your tragic and very painful loss. Very fitting that you have been able to keep him with you at rest at home - that must be a comfort for you. L x
