I am in shock.......I have just had my hay bill from new livery for 4 weeks £100, [glow=red,2,300]bl**dy greedy horses[/glow]. 4 large bales, at £25 each. How much does everyone else pay? I could have had new outfit for that, maybe 2!

I pay £30 for a large round bale of haylage. Farmer delivers it puts it in the barn and even moves it down to the stables if needed. He is a wee star

OMG That is terrible. Or livery charges £2 a day ad lib but we have now tied in with two other girls and we buy two big round bales of haylage delivered at a total cost of £50 for the two, so for our share we are only paying £16 per month . If your yard has a storage area and allow you, I would try to arrange something like we have done. Every penny counts these days.

£25.00 isn't too bad for a round bale of hay but your horses must be going some to get through 4 in a month. We have 30 horses here at the moment and we use roughly a bale a day which works out at one bale per horse per month.

they have been in a lot!! but still its quite a jump from paying an extra tenner per horse at the last yard! but the boys are happy and so are we, so will have to try source cheaper option!

Thats alot especially when its on top of livery etc. Im £15 for a large bale from a friend. I buy two each month approx and that feeds my three who are stabled at night.
