Not been a great year for me but I'm just looking forward to enjoying my horses once again and making the most of them. Bigger goals and ambitions may grow from there. Susan - you go for it! I'm sure it's an achievable goal. I'm going to try and enter the 2011 BP National Portrait competition though not a lot of time left! Come on everyone what are you hoping to achieve for 2011?

Ha ha - plans are baad Here are mine anyway.... Zak - Silver Thistle Final and possibly try for our Gold Thistle Final too. Also toying with the idea of affiliated dressage if time (and finances) allow. He competes up to Elementary unaffiliated at the moment. Zhaazeer - will be 4 in July so would like to do some in hand with him and back him later in the year. He's still entire so would like to get him tested for CA/SCID before I decide if he's going to stay that way I would also like to try some dog agility with Amber if I have the time and energy.

I was just thinking about this today ;D Susan, you are going to be busy, trying to Q for HOYS AND building a house! I dont have any set plans for next year. I'm not too bothered about showing much, though i'd like to get Gus qualified in hand again for BACS. My main aim with him will be training, training, training - we already have a couple of clinics booked in - just to get him established and going sweetly. I'll do some dressage with him, and if hes ready for a show, he'll go. Otherwise he'll bide his time I'd like to get Ammi out to some more Veteran classes, if his owner allows it Personally, i'm hoping to be accepted onto the Diploma course at Aberdeen to follow up on my Counselling foundation course - fingers crossed And for it to be a bit less depressing than this year has been

I just please please want my horses to stay healthy this year and then with that I can do this: I am planning to take Seren to compete at the RHS - I have never done this show before so will be such a great experience for us both. I will be seeing Take That in the same day - will be far too much excitement to contend with! Hope to get her going under saddle now that she is backed and walking round the yard. She is on holiday at the moment. I hope to take Splash out in hand as a yearling. He gets more beautiful everyday! I dont intend to over face him but a couple to get him out there would be great. Really excited about showing something different and getting in to the coloured sections too. Personally hopefully me and my OH will get our own home which was supposed to happen this year but due to the year I had and him buying me Seren this had to take a back seat. So come on 2011 - I am so ready for you! Hope you all have a good year. xxx

sounds like everyone is going to be realy busy this coming year!! i hope that willow will keep her feet out of trouble, so that i can take her to a couple of local shows in hand, and see how we go. hoping to get back in the saddle after whisper having a couple of years off- being in foal with willow and then a full time mum!- and try to rid her of her dropped belly! new years resolution would have to be to dust off my flute and get playing again- and to read more!! i have a stack of books sitting waiting to be read! also would like to get some practice towing and sit my towing test so my dad and friend's dad sont need to take us out showing... we are old enough and ugly enough to be doing it ourselves now!! ha ha! oh and get round to getting Betty spayed this year too... i keep putting it off, but cant be bothered with her making a mess twice a year, when im never going to breed from her! im sure i wont accomplish nearly half of what i hope to- but then thats always the way! just hope 2011 is a kinder year than 2010! all the best to everyone for 2011! vicki. xx

I'm really looking forward to 2011 too! I'm hoping to continue showing both my horses, Banoud and Hafana, B will be a veteran this year so he will be doing some veteran classes. H is broken so I'm hoping to take her to the Showing Clinic under saddle (eek!) and then maybe do the baby ridden class at the Northern Show.
Over the winter and into the spring I'm hoping Banoud and I will continue our Showjumping success and enter some more classes, as well as doing a bit of Novice dressage.
Phew! Sounds busy! I would like to find myself a helper in the Stonehaven area as I think I'll need it - anyone know of anyone suitable who is a good, competent rider?
Good luck to everyone for 2011!
