Hi Buster, Don't want to keep hijacking other people's threads by asking you questions about Ice, but he catches my eye everytime you post. He looks super. What is his breeding and what do you do with him? Hope you don't mind me asking?

Hi trinity I got Ice unseen from Preston to replace a 16.3hh TB that had to be pts Ice is only 15hh ;D Hes out of Quedasha and by Nile Bequest( not that I know much of breeding lines still trying to get up to speed on that side of things). I have done a little inhand and ridden showing, a little dressage oh that needs a lot more work ;D Plan on doing some jumping this year ;D ;D, haven't told Ice yet though Cant get out and about as often as I would like due to young kids and husband that has to work shifts If I ever win the lottery will have a few more arabs, Ice is good fun to ride ;D and lovely person to have about. How many arabs do you have and any photos??

Hi Buster, Thanks for answering. It's nice to hear you're doing a bit of everything with him. Very brave to buy unseen, but it's certainly paid off. He's super. I will have to go off and have a nose at his pedigree. I'm still learning about bloodlines etc. It's fascinating. We have 4 Arabs and 2 pba's, amongst other things. Here are a few photo's. Akhira - please ignore the fact I looked like 10tonne tess last summer. Zara Ismene Escosza Have to say the pics of Zara and Escosza do not do them justice. Will have to get some better ones of them.

Hi again, There ALL lovely ;D What do you do with them? Do you have many showing shows up there, the only one I can think of is the black isle show which I used to go to with a jumping pony that was about 20 yrs ago . Do you breed from yours? Akhira looks very similar to Ice ;D. Love the photo of Ismene in the snow ;D Sorry but is Ismene he or she, me likes very much.

Thanks Lorraine. Have to say I've yet to sit on anything better and he's such a gent as well. Love him to bits. Ismene adores him. She's going to be sadly disappointed though this year as we have another very special husband lined up for her. A meet up would be really good. Hoping to get to both shows and anything else we can get out to. Still finding our feet with the Arab showing scene so any tips on which shows to go to would be good. Hopefully going to do lots of dressage with Akhira as well.

Thank you Buster. Ismene is a she. She's 11. She and Zara arrived with us just before Christmas. Ismene is a proven brood mare. Zara is rising 4 and has yet to be backed. That is on the cards depending on how she takes to it all. She's still young yet. She will be put to Akhira either this year or next, depending on how the ridden work goes. Escosza is 6 and will definitely be put to Akhira this year. He covered her last year, but she was carrying twins so we had to jag her. Stupid mistake on our part. We were so sure she hadn't held we didn't scan her soon enough to save one of them. Fingers crossed for this year.

Wow you will have a busy and exciting year ahead? Does Akhira just cover your mares or do you have outside mares too. Hows he bred?? I will be looking forward to seeing all your guys in the summertime

Have to say, I'm really looking forward to this year - lots to do and lots more to learn. It's going to be great. Akhira is available to outside mares, but as yet, we haven't done a huge amount of advertising as we wanted to prove him with our own mares first, and get him going well under saddle. He's not a young boy, so didn't want to overface him and lose his lovely temperament. Here's a link to his pedigree: www.allbreedpedigree.com/akhira2Looking forward to meeting you in the summer as well.

Briliant, well, we go down the night before the Group Show and its always a fairly social affair, so hopefully see you there, if not before at something ;D L.x
