Just about to restock feed, looking for a good conditioning feed for Ice, used Bailey Outshine last year but its expensive at over £30 a bag, have used barley rings on TB which are good but Ice doesn't like them Any recommendations

Hiya
I have used top spec conditioning flakes on Tammuz he dropped weight after doing his first 50k endurance ride and was then too lean (albeit fit) for the showring!!!!
I have to decide to do one or the other with him, as he looks fab fully fit for endurance but not enough weight on him for the judges!!!!
The top spec now has him looking in "showring condition" now and too fat for endurance, you cant win so I need to make up my mind what he will do this year.......
Sorry got off on a tangent.......
top spec flakes and ready grass in his feed got him to put condition on and it doesnt seem to fizz him up.

Nadem was a nightmare to get weight on - we had him on top spec feed balancer worked wonders hes now on the light stuff though hes no longer difficult to put weight on Although this stuff is about £29 a bag i didnt like the outshine - made no difference to Nadem at all

I'm another fan of Top Spec feeds and balancers. The other thing I've used that was great with Merlyn is Allan & Page's Calm and Condition. It made a big difference to him and he was still sane and sensible at the end!

I love Bluechip - expensive but works an absolute treat.

I use equimins advance feed balancer. All 3 of mine are looking great and I'm not using as much hard feed as I used to.

Another Top Spec fan here too - all ours are on it (Flash & Ammie are on Senior, Gus is on the Comprehensive balancer) and look fantastic on it ;D In good condition, lovely coats, and hardly need any other feed on top of it, apart from chaff. I also use the Cool Condition Cubes for a bit of weight gain - they contain no starch at all, but are fantastic for putting on a bit of condition - in fact Gus is off them now as he's looking too well
