A year ago today we lost our beloved stallion ZIBAK.........It was the most beautiful spring day the sun was shinning and the birds were singing when i got the phone call from my mother..................she normally phones me at least once a day but this phone call was a very sad one.
So rather than think of the sadness she asked me to post something up that we could remember what a Fantastic horse he was, i remember the day he walked of the ramp of Eric Gilles transporter i couldn't believe he was ours. He was such a character, a very regal horse who knew his place as head of the stud and loved to pose for those who were captivated by his beauty...................he loved to keep the vet and farrier on there toes with that certain "Zibak look" i think he used to chuckle to himself as they looked over his stable door. He was a great show horse and won many championships both in England and Scotland and was even present at the great Crabbet park at the Crabbet convention.
We had so much more planned for him and he was the picture of health which it was so hard to bear, my mother found him sleeping in his stable very peacefully it is thought he suffered at heart attack.
He still surveys the stud at the top of the hill - he stands proud as he always will watching over some of his offspring.
