The arabs were out and about this weekend at our local riding club SJ and dressage show ;D NOt having done a SJ course for about 20yrs I dont know what possesed me to enter Tammuz for the clear round and novice class Tammuz has only ever gone over a wee cross pole and has NEVER done a course of jumps But we did it. I have never been so nervous in my life My boy was a total star and with ears pricked forward he done everything for me ;D. Even the dressage in the afternoon he behaved really well, and was not even spooked at the cafe noise at the top of the arena!!! (We were at SNEC) My friend Heather took her pure bred mare "The Dreamcatcher" and she WON the intermediate SJ class, and performance arabians had there part bred mare there and she won the open class ;D Yeah the arabs ;D ;D ;D Just goes to show we should not be worried about going out with our arabs to "normal" events. We were yery much welcome at the riding club event, with some lovley comments about how exceptionally well behaved our horses are.

Well done Cameg and TAMMUZ ! Sounds like you had a real confidence boost ! Scary though to go out and do something out of your comfort zone so hats of to you but also nice to know the arabs can hold their heads up.

Well done you! I have been doing a spot of dressage with Poppy, she gets so excited its rather difficult to walk on a long rein! Lol. Its great fun though and I can tell she enjoys it.

Great! Its so good to promote the breed by doing different disciplines. I have every intention of doing dressage, SJ, & XC with Gus as well as showing, when he's broken
