Finally the saga of my trophy is reaching an end. I went to a local trophy shop to see about them mounting the sculpture onto a plinth, thinking that there would be something a bit technical to it. I was wrong, he showed me some plasticy looking plinths (which cost more than the sculpture) and didn't look to nice and I was informed that all they would do is glue it on. Not very technical.
So we decided to get some nice wood and shape it (OHs uncle is an ex-techie teacher) and mount it ourselves (well OH has done all the work). I must say he's done a grand job and it looks brill.
So Stuart you can rest assured that you will have the trophy in time for the show.
Thanks everyone for your help and advise over the last few months.

Fiona
I am so pleased that you have the trophy sorted .
Would you do us the honour of presenting it to the winner of the Classic Arabian Head [glow=red,2,300]in the ring [/glow].I think this would be something special as both you and joyce will be there.
A lovely gesture in memory of your treasured Gabrymmal
