Could anyone point me in the direction of a decent hay source that won't rip me off!! I have just been badly let down by a supplier that quoted me one price, but when he came to deliver, the price had gone up by £55 per ton!! Needless to say he was sent packing complete with said hay..........which I have to say wasn't great looking to start with! I realise the weather hasn't been kind, but surely £5.50 a bale is a bit exessive? Just because we keep horses, doesn't mean we have an endless supply of money!

Is it just small bales you use Jayne or can you accomodate large bales too? Let me know what quantity you need and I'll ask my supplier for you

Many thanks Jill. Sorry not been on line for several days, so didn't see your message! I've manged to get hay from a farm in Biggar for £3 a bale thankfully. I'm going to collect it next weekend.
Unfortunately I don't have the space to take large round bales, so I'm kind of at the mercy of whatever price is demanded for the small square ones.
