Well finally, he arrived home last night after a 3 day journey from the Maxwells in France. Walked off the ramp and straight into eating his hay! I was glad to see the impressions of my parents and friends - With double Maleik El Kheil Lines and Camargue he is exactly the bloodlines we were looking for. Four horses in our stables and all go back to Maleik. Very friendly in the stable but when he gets excited, the tail is like a cork screw over his back and boy can he stutt his stuff. Think I am going to have fun with this chap. Just a shame it wil be a few years before I can ride him but I am sure the wait will be worthwhile.

Thank you everyone. Yes we are very pleased with him. Perhaps I should have stuck to my "I don't do greys" though as although he is a dark bay at present he will turn grey. Turned him out in the paddock today and after a brief check out of his boundaries, he got down and rolled, not just a small one but made sure his face was smeared in mud! In the hour that he was out, he did this 4 times! A bell rang in my head "oh yes, he did that as soon as he got out into the field at the Maxwells too!". Thank goodness an XS and S all in one body suit has already been purchased from Dress Circle. Guess I am going to have to be quick off the mark to get pics in his paddock! Not sure what shows we will take him to this year but hopefully we will get him out for a couple at least.

went to visit Maxi yesterday, wish i had a bigger car i would have smuggled him home!! he is a real poppet with just the temprement you want,a gent in the stables and lights up and shows off outside,he has a lovely head and gorgeous neck which he really uses when showing off but is a substantial boy with good bone so should make a lovely ridden horse,i think pamela is going to have loads of fun with him until he is ready to be her next riding horse.

Kaye - can you please send me info on how to post pics please?
Yes Maxi has settled down well and oh yes, he has character! You can see him thinking what to get up to next.
Had Kheil in the field outside his paddock today and after doing the screaming stallion with raised front leg (gelded 11 years ago boy!) he settled down and they grazed nose to nose around the post n' rail. Maxi was soon tugging at Kheil's rug over the railings and Kheil giving him a cheeky nibble to remind him that he was the main man here!
Definitely going to have to get my running shoes on as he is as big if not bigger a mover than Kheil. Not even a year old so definitely going to have to get fit!
Hoping to take him to training day that Lynn is putting on, so you can see the boy there. Can't miss him, as soon as he hears or sees something, the tail goes right over his back!
