Susan, just caught this. So sorry to hear of Tammuz having laminitis. David Sutton from the Clyde Vet Group threw everything at our filly when the prognosis was very bleak. Feeding stripped right back to basic fibre, aspirin, cushioned foot pads, Danilon etc etc. She lay down most of the time for two weeks but that was good as it took all the weight off. It's been a long haul with her but she is out of the woods now and will make a full recovery. If you haven't already had David out, please ask him to come. He saved our filly's life, without any doubt.

Susan really sorry to hear this - Darcy boy had stress laminitis in November 2007 - and we are yet to find out what the stress was! He had frog supports, acp, danilone - in fact everything - and he recovered.....it is a long haul - but I am sure you will get there with him. He is getting all the love he needs from you I am sure - but sending him more anyway ((((HUGS))) XXXX from Liz, Kaye, Nadem and Darcy XXXX

Tammuz is a bit better within himself and getting back to his normal cheeky self. However he is just as lame..... We have him on 5 bute a day, 25 asprin every second day, ACP injections 4 times a day and have put him in frog supports. He is being so good for being cooped up in his stable, and loving the extra attention he gets from everyone who comes to see him. Its now a waiting game to see if we get any improvement, on a plus side more x rays the other day saw no pedal bone rotation and no fractures.
Thanks again for everyone's very kind words of support it really does help me get through the day.
