God Susan - what an absolute nightmare for you. I really feel for you and your beautiful boy. I can totally appreciate where you are at and the precious time you have spent with him over the last few days. He is an arab so he will know that you are feeling for him and willing him to get better and he will draw comfort that you - his Mum - are there with him when he is feeling so poorly. You have given him a wonderful life - sadly there are so many poor horses who never experience that . Susan I send you and your dear Tammuz every positive thought I have but hey you must know that the whole Scottish contingency is sending you their love and support. Be strong, Lynn x

Very sorry to hear this. Like everyone else I really hope that your miracle will happen. I admire you for the love and the 100% commitment you have shown to Tammuz and the fact you have continued to get out there with your other boys making the most of everything.

Oh, that is awful, i am so upset to read this thread properly and learn of the heartache you have both been through, my heart is breaking for you as i have been here, but my pony pulled through and i had her for another 3 years before her own body decided to call it a day after the intense neglect she had faced with the people i bought her from. Similar to Tammuz she was 1.5mm from all four pedal bones breaking through, but nothing actually penetrated through to the outside.
I will be reading with crossed fingers hoping that there is an improvement in his pain threshold, if i could give you a magic wand to help him i would give the best wand in the world, i wish i had one for you. This will be in my thoughts all day and i hope things happen for the best

David Sutton from Clyde came out yesterday to see Tammuz and between us both decided to give him one more last chance. So we have him on more drugs and have opened up a hole in his foot to let the serum drain out. He also applied putty type supports to the frog. Tammuz is much the same, still eating and drinking well but still very sore. Vet back out tomorrow to see him again, taking it day by day, vet says we are on a knife edge with it but while Tammuz is fighting so must we. Many many thanks for all your kind words I am sure everyones healing vibes are helping him to be strong and fight. They are certainly helping me get through all this.

That sounds like both the vets and yourself have made a positive move, thats what we did with my girl beauty. He sounds like he has a fighting spirit, and he doesn't want to give up. I'm keeping everything crossed for you all that he improves and continues to improve . . . i was dreading to read the worst news from you today and i am so glad to read your post. Good luck x

I've been thinking about you all day, wondering what you had decided...... I'm so glad your vet thinks it is still worth carrying on with his treatment. I hope you get your miracle for your boy - he certainly seems to be fighting this. I'm sure he knows how much he is loved and treasured and how lucky he is to have you.
Hugs to you both.

Susan and Tammuz - keep up the fight, where there is hope there is a chance; you are in my thoughts at all times. Tammuz is so lucky to have a mum like you. I am praying that he will turn the corner. Sending you a wee poem Liz xxxxx
Horse is All
If I can dream of a horse. I can fight for a horse. I can hope for a horse.
So........................... If a dream is a wish that will come true. Love is a battle worth fighting. and hope can get you there.. then horse is all I can say
